Students
seeking
immediate
admission
to general
engineering
must
have
a
mathematics
ACT score
of 22
or SAT

Engineering
students
not meeting
these
minimum
mathematics
requirements
will
be place
in pre-engineering
until
completion
of Calculus
and Analytic
Geometry
with
a letter
grade
of "C" or
higher.
UW-Platteville
uses
standardized
test
results
as
one of the
criteria
measures
for
admission. The UW
System
requires
all
new
freshman
applicants
to
submit the
results
of
either
the
ACT or
SATI
for
review. The ACT
is
the
preferred test.
Students
will
not
be
disadvantaged in
the
admissions
process
by
taking one
test
rather
than
the
other. It is
recommended
that
the
ACT/SAT I be
taken
in
the spring
of
the junior
year
and
have
the
score reports
sent
directly
to
the office
of
Admission
and
Enrollment
Management.
This
requirement
is
waived for prospective
students
over
the
age
of 25.

Criminal Justice
Those seeking
admission
to the UW-Platteville
School of
Graduate
Studies must
have earned
a bachelor's
degree from
a
nationally
or regionally
accredited
institution
recognized
by
the Council
for Higher
Education
Accreditation
(CHEA). To
be eligible
for admission
in
full
standing,
a student
must have an
overall
undergraduate
grade point
average of
2.75 or above,
or 2.90 on
the last
60 credits
from the
degree-granting
institution.
To be considered
for admission
to the
Master of Science
in Criminal
Justice
program,
students
must have
a bachelor's
degree
in criminal
justice,
criminology,
or
a related
field from
an accredited
four-year
college
or university.
If the
degree
is in an unrelated
field,
a minimum
of
three years
of occupational
experience
in
the field
of criminal
justice
is
required.
Engineering
Those seeking
admission
to the
Master
of Engineering
program
must
have earned
a bachelor's
degree
from
a nationally
or regionally
accredited
institution
recognized
by the
Council
for Higher
Education
Accreditation
(CHEA)
or
have
a bachelor's
degree
in a
field related
to
engineering.
If your
bachelor's
degree
is in
a field
other
than engineering,

qualify

advisor

Once
you
have
consulted

years
from
the
formal
date
of
admission

graduate
program
to
complete
degree
requirements;
extensions
may
be
granted

extenuating
circumstances.
Special
Students
Students
who
have
earned
a
bachelor's
degree

by
the

Special
Students.
Special
students
receive
full
academic
credit
for
credit
courses

graduate-level
work

Student

transfer

12
credits
earned
