Upper Iowa University has its residential campus in Fayette, Iowa and has learning centers in many states in the Midwest. Founded in 1857, it is one of Iowa's oldest universities and is the largest private university in Iowa.

Admission Requirements:
MBA Program:
Undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited university (or foreign equivalent)
Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 for all courses or 3.0 for the most recent 60 credits towards the applicant's undergraduate degree.
GMAT and GRE not required but may be considered for applicants with GPAs that do not meet the requirement.
TOEFL, taken with in the past 12 months, for applicants for whom English is not their native language and for applicants whose undergraduate degree was conducted in a language other than English.

Undergraduate Program:
2.0 GPA for prior undergraduate work.

Learning Environment for students:
Upper Iowa University delivers its online courses in an asynchronous environment using a client-server architecture (the client is Outlook Express, which comes free with Internet Explorer). Students can also access class using a web browser. The system is designed to be fully functional without the use of highbandwidth Internet access. A 24/7/365 helpdesk is available to assist students having technical difficulties. The average class size is approximately 9 students, with a target maximum class size of 13 students. Course are discussion intensive and students are expected to participate actively in the class discussions.
