The College of Business is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) to offer the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) and the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees, which are offered online in several majors. The College of Adult Education, which awards the Bachelor of Business Studies and Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degrees, is a member of the Council for Adults and Experiential Learning. Tuition Costs: Dallas Baptist University online education tuition for 2005-2006 academic year is $1,347 for each undergraduate 3-hour course and $1,377 for each 3-hour graduate course. For a 4-hour undergraduate course, the tuition is $1,796. Learning Environment: Within the semester calendar, DBU Online courses are totally asynchronous which means students may sign on any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Courses may be five, ten, or sixteen week courses depending upon the semester offered. Students do not need to log in at the same time as other students or at the same time as the instructor unless they are meeting voluntarily in the chat room. The online courses will contain written lecture, reading assignments, class discussion, and assignments. Accomplishments/Recognition: The Dallas Baptist University Online Education program has maintained an average of 92% student completion rate since its inception in 1998. Dallas Baptist University's Online Education program has recently won two distinguished course design awards, Blackboard's Bbionic Course of the Year 2005 and the Instructional Technology Council's eLearning 2006 Course of the Year award. ![]() |
